Maria Vasileiadi is a PhD student at the Medical University of Vienna. She works at the Center of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (MR Physics Division) and is involved in collaborative projects with the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology. Her main research interests are in fMRI brain mapping and TMS brain stimulation for pre-operative language and motor mapping. Her background in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience and Linguistics give her the ultimate foundation for interdisciplinary research. In her research she aims to bridge the gaps between cognitive science and medical physics, and to translate novel developments in basic science research to clinics.
